Basil Enemute Iwhiwhu holds a B. Sc. Ed. Degree in Chemistry from Bendel State University, Ekpoma, Master & Ph. D Degrees in Library, Archives & Information Studies from University of Ibadan with specialization in Records Management and Archives Administration.
He practiced as a Librarian from 1993 - 2004 at the Delta State University Library, Abraka and moved to the Department of Library and Information Science to Lecture LIS from 2004 - 2016 in same university before he got appointed as the pioneer Polytechnic Librarian of Delta State School of Marine Technology, Burutu where he is furthering professional practices.
He is scholarly with several articles in national and international journals to his credit. He has also published three books, one each in Preservation & Conservation, Records Management and Library Use Practice, and two monographs. He is the Secretary of the Preservation and Conservation Section of NLA.
